This summer will exist #100daysofJBsummer

Welcome to my 100 days project! If you’ve been following me for any length of time you know that I get sucked into the vortex in summer and end up blogging it well into MARCH.  I also tend to be perfectionistic and thus paralyzed.  Someone invited people to a 100 days of 10 group and I leaped at the opportunity.  I debated about all sorts of elaborate ways in which I could make this so complicated that I was bound to fail but finally landed on documenting our summer.  Imperfectly.  Just doing it. Both iPhone and camera pictures – whatever I used that day.  This means I have to actually live my life this summer….and post.  Keep watching and keep me accountable!

I’m embedding the posts so far from Instagram so you can see the pictures and words:

I’ve started a 100-day project (which will, hopefully, last more than 100 days. Because I’m trying to not be so uptight about things). My aim is to take a photo a day, process it and post it, dedicating no more than 10 minutes to this task. Every day. This is harder for me than one would think! I’m hoping it will spring me from my current fear-based cell. The theme is summer (JB for my kids, the JBs). If you notice I’m not posting, nag me! Already trying to give in to the voice of fear, I wasn’t going to post today because I’m not feeling great…and it’s not summer. Then I went and sat my sick ass in the grass and took pictures and it was REALLY good for my soul. Then I looked at the pictures and had to staple myself to my chair and force myself to choose one and post it, instead of going back out to take more. See? I’m telling you. Cell of fear. Not technically a #100daysofJBsummer pic, but OMG was that cold!!!!

Also not #100daysofJBsummer, technically, but I’m still so pleased with how the rain drops aligned with the music. SEE!? Isn’t that awesome! I know!! 😀

If I tried this I’d lose my face. It’s fortunate that she really loves boys. #100daysofJBsummer #100daysof10

This is such a wonderful project. The photo of the toe poking through the sock is just perfection. I love personal photography projects and how much one grows during the project. All the reflections, layers, and beautiful angles you’ve captured in these photos – just gorgeous photo art.
